BroadWing Inc. (www.broadwinginc.com),
the new company formed from the merger of Cincinnati Bell and IXC Communications
Inc., has named its executive team. Former president and CEO of Cincinnati Bell
Richard G. Ellenberger will remain in that capacity for the new company. Former
Cincinnati Bell COO Richard S. Ponti is president, national market for
BroadWing. The rest of the executive team is: John J. Mueller, president,
Cincinnati Bell Telephone; John F. Cassidy, president, Cincinnati Bell
Enterprises; Michael W. Vent, chief network officer; Michael D. O’Brien,
president, ZoomTown.com; Kevin W. Mooney, CFO; Jeffrey C. Smith, chief legal and
administrative officer; Thomas E. Taylor, general counsel and secretary; Thomas
G. Osha, vice president of corporate communications; Valerie G. Walden, senior
vice president, chief branding officer; David L. Hughart, president, business
markets for national markets; Dominick DeAngelo, president, Internet and data
for national markets; and Jeffrey A. Lackey, president, BroadWing IT consulting
for national markets.

Williams Communications Inc. (www.wilcom.com)
has named Bob McCoy general counsel of Williams Communications Group Inc. McCoy
formerly served as general counsel for WilTel, the former Williams
Communications, from 1988 to 1995. He now leads a staff of attorneys assigned to
support Williams Communications.

Michael Johnson

UniDial Communi-cations Inc. (www.unidial.com)
has named Michael Johnson vice president of engineering. He is responsible for
building the company’s planned facilities-based network and engineering new
communications solutions for UniDial customers.

RSL Communications Ltd. (www.rslcom.com)
has promoted Michael J. Day to chief information officer. Day formerly was
European director of billing and management information systems for the company.
In his new role, he oversees RSL’s worldwide computer technology and management
information systems. RSL also has appointed Donald Oswald managing director, RSL
COM Asia Pacific Ltd. Oswald is responsible for RSL COM operations in Japan and
Hong Kong and for developing new business in target markets within the Asia
Pacific region.

RateXchange Inc. (www.ratexchange.com)
has made three appointments to its management team. Paul Wescott has been named
vice president of business development and planning; Russell Matulich has been
named vice president of sales and marketing; and Ross Mayfield has been named
president and COO. While both Wescott and Matulich are new to RateXchange,
Mayfield has been promoted from vice president of marketing for the company.
