Advantage Hires Former CenturyLink, Verizon Marketing Leader as New VP
The telecom and cloud consultancy also brought on a new CTO.

Advantage Communications Group, a distributor of telecom and IT services, has appointed Richard Siebels as its new chief technology officer and Gene Rogers as vice president of marketing.
As CTO, Siebels is responsible for the overall corporate IT strategy, including the design and development efforts for Advantage’s proprietary internal applications and external management systems, as well as those of Advantage’s sister company, Cellular Optimization.
Siebels previously was CTO at Premier Cos., and prior to that was director of product development designing custom applications for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and other government agencies. He has more than 20 years of technology development experience.
Rogers leads all marketing communications, public relations, branding and product marketing initiatives for Advantage and Cellular Optimization. He previously was the vice president of marketing at Net Access until its sale to Cologix earlier this year. During his 25-year career, he also has held sales, marketing and product management positions at CenturyLink, Savvis, InfoHighway and Verizon.{ad}

Advantage has relationships with more than 100 carriers and service providers. Carrier partners include such companies as AT&T, Comcast Business, Level 3 Communications, Vonage and Windstream.
