Systems integrator AGC Networks Inc. recently bought fellow systems integrator Transcend United Technologies LLC.

Both companies are privately held so the financial details remain under wraps. AGC specializes in UC, network integration, data center and virtualization, and enterprise applications. Transcend, meanwhile, focuses on UC, data center infrastructure and managed services. AGC said the union with Transcend combines the companies’ respective strengths and should lead to revenue of $43 million.

The Transcend business now operates under the AGC Networks brand, led by Greg Forrest, president of the company’s Americas division.

"We are delighted to welcome our employees from Transcend, who will continue operations from their current offices providing clients with enhanced technology solutions," Forrest said in a prepared statement.

To that point, AGC, with Transcend under its belt, now employs 130 people. Overall, the deal marks "a big win for our customers,” said Rick Hirsh, CEO of Transcend.

Q Advisors LLC, a Denver-based communications and technology focused investment banking firm, acted as Transcend United’s exclusive financial adviser.
