Founded in 1997, the Agent Alliance is a corporation owned by its 17 member agencies, which represent more than $500 million in billings under management. Agent Alliance members offer telecommunications products and services, including voice services, convergence applications, conference calling, data services, Internet connectivity, Web hosting, cloud services, broadband applications, VoIP and more.

The organization’s purpose is to present a united industry front as a means of fostering best business practices nationwide, elevating the telecom channel’s profile among service providers and creating an environment where the most favorable provider agreements can be reached benefitting both members and non-members alike.

“Without a doubt, the Agent Alliance is shaping this industry’s future direction,” said Murray. We’ve successfully mapped out our strategy and are now deeply invested in its implementation. We’re all encouraged by our progress.”

But, Murray said, there’s room for more entrepreneurial, forward-thinking leadership, noting the Alliance is recruiting new members. “We’re specifically seeking new shareholders within the IT, VAR and cloud space,” he said.

In November, the Agent Alliance will convene in Miami for its quarterly board of directors meeting.
