Airband Gathers Agents for First Agent Summit
December 10, 2007
The first-ever Airband Agent Summit was held on Dec. 5, at the Airband Corporate offices in Dallas. Seven key agents attended by invitation only – five were already agents for Airband and two were prospects. Airband’s agent program, which was just launched in October, is growing – they say they are in the process of signing new agents from this meeting.
There was a welcome cocktail reception at Westin Park Central on Dec. 4 and a group dinner on Dec. 5. During the meeting there were many valuable presentations and roundtable discussions held with Airband’s agents. Topics included Airband business strategy, major network buildout initiatives, marketing and operational support.
“The event was a great success based on the feedback we received from the agents,” said an Airband spokesperson. “They were very appreciative of the time that was spent with the executive management of our company, including our CEO, COO and president of sales and marketing. I know the program demonstrated the strength of our program and company directions to our current and prospective agents. Airband also received invaluable feedback from the agents on how they would like to see our program grow and operate.”
The goals of the event were to raise awareness of the agent program with the Airband executives, educate current agents of the Airband Story and recruit agents that may be on the fence of joining the Airband Agent Program. Airband also wanted an open forum for getting input from existing and prospective agents on how it can better run its program, and the company feels all of these goals were accomplished with the event.
“We found the interexchange with our agent community incredibly valuable, and we want to continue this open dialogue,” said Airband’s spokesperson. “We’re planning on having ongoing conference calls with our agents to follow-up on our discussions in 45 days.”
Airband plans to host the Agent Summit on a semi-annual basis. Next time, they would like to grow the event to include more attendees next time and also include Airband resellers.
