Allegiance Telecom Expands Wholesale Line
February 10, 2004
Allegiance Telecom (Booth 820), a facilities-based national LEC headquartered in Dallas has expanded its wholesale product line to include local voice services, offering a range of customized T1-based local voice and integrated products to carriers. With about 800 colocations in 36 U.S. markets, the Allegiance network provides access to customers for voice, data and converged services applications.
An alternative to traditional ILEC services, Allegiance Telecom has created customized packages combining local loop, transport, voice and data services. Integrated voice and data services may be combined with other Internet service providers’ offerings. Allegiance’s wholesale product packages include only T1 based products; no POTS lines are available.
Online pre-evaluation is available now through a convenient web portal. Online order entry and installation tracking are scheduled to be available in the second quarter.
"These Allegiance Telecom packages are customized especially for the resale market," says John Dumbleton, senior vice president of wholesale services and alternate channels. "Individual services are segmented so carriers of all sizes can select the specific local loop, transport and voice and data services packages needed. This flexibility, when combined with Allegiance’s superior support and reliability, make Allegiance an ideal partner for interexchange carriers, Internet service providers and other resellers with CLEC certification that seek to expand their ability to provide voice data or converged services to customers."
