Alteva said on Tuesday that it has launched a new unified communications-as-a-service (UCaaS) solution that is created specifically to serve the legal community.

The UCaaS solution is designed to address the unique needs of a law office, the cloud-based UC provider said, including offering enhanced mobility, audio and Web collaboration, unified messaging, voice response, call recording and reporting services with multiple options to capture billable hours.

Key features of Altevas UCaaS solution for law firms include HD voice hosted PBX; unified communications; hosted exchange (an email and shared calendar solution); Alteva Anywhere (for mobility); legal collaboration (the company’s audio and Web conferencing application for law firms); Alteva Archive (call recording and message-archiving capabilities) and auto attendant (a virtual receptionist for the office around the clock.
