Appia Communications announced Wednesday that it is offering its hosted Appia Video Communicator services on an unlimited use basis.
For $199 per month, users can choose either video conferencing with up to 12 participants or video broadcasting with up to 192 users. Customers can purchase hardware especially designed for video from Appia or use certain PCs with AVC software. AVC includes screen sharing and chat.
"As travel costs continue to climb and travel hassles continue to worsen, video communication is coming into its own. We hope to help accelerate that change by offering high quality, secure, high-definition video at a price almost every company and organization can afford," said Appias President Victor von Schlegell.
Based in Traverse City, Mich., Appia serves markets nationwide, with operations in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis and Washington D.C.
