Apptix Partners With Quest
The strategy will help the unified communications provider move customers away from on-premise equipment.

Unified communications provider Apptix has partnered with Quest Software to shift business customers from relying on on-premise equipment to using hosted messaging and collaboration services instead.
Quest is providing the migration and management platform for the effort.
With more than 30 million mailbox migrations under its wing, Quest brings the needed balance of experience and on-boarding expertise for Apptix,” said David Ehrhardt, president and CEO of Apptix.
To that point, Quest is making sure Apptix users have immediate and continuous” access to their information, said Michael Sotnick, vice president of worldwide channels and alliances for Quest. Quests tools give automated updates; directly synch mailboxes, calendars and public folders; simplify manual tasks associated with managing Exchange servers; and more. Apptix hosted services include VoIP, Exchange e-mail and Microsoft SharePoint.
Both Apptix and Quest sell through channel partners.
