Business VoIP services provider Aptela has upgraded its cloud-based calling platform to give users more command over their calling functions.

Major upgrades in Aptela v5.3 give small companies, teleworkers and mobile employees a number of new features for their IP phones and unify communications.

For example, theres find me” list management in the dashboard. The follow me” mechanism temporarily overrides the find me” list and redirects calls to a designated phone number or extension.

Other additions include:

  • Do Not Disturb: sends calls to voice mail

  • Smart find me list: Lets designated contacts such as bosses, VIP customers or family members reach users

  • Department recording: Expands call recording to departments for uses such as coaching and training

  • Firefox plugin: Provides click-to-call by adding the Aptela icon to the Firefox toolbar.

Our customers now have the enhanced call-control capabilities they need to easily manage their business communications, no matter their location,” said Ann Santorios, Aptelas vice president of product and business development.

Aptela sells through channel partners including resellers and referral agents.
