ASC Introduces EVOip, SCREENSCAN
March 29, 2005
ASC, which makes technologies for contact centers, financial institutions, and public safety and government organizations, has created what it says is the world’s first Linux-based VoIP recording solution. The product, called EVOip for Linux, uses SIP switching capability.
EVOip for Linux records and automatically tags VoIP calls with selected parameters such as agent I.D. or time of transmission. It supports recording on demand, call storage, recording and repetition, and more. The product meets the Cisco Architecture for Voice, Video and Integrated Data Partner Program test criteria, and will be certified to integrate with Cisco CallManager, Cisco Media Convergence Server, Cisco Integrated Communications System and Cisco IP IVR.
ASC also recently announced its new software, SCREENscan, which is a system that initiates recording automatically when an agent presses any previously defined function, or when a particular error message, screen pop or application appears on the desktop.
ASC says the technology saves users money because it installs through a user-friendly configuration wizard that does not require knowledge of CTI integration.
SCREENscan provides rules-based recording for voice, VoIP, e-mail, chat or browsing.
