ASCENT: GDS Taps Shapiro to Lead Telecom Effort

Global Document Solutions Corp. has named Lauren Shapiro, former vice president of Cable & Wireless U.S Carrier division, to lead its efforts to bring dynamic document composition and manufacturing systems to the telecom sector.


GDS says Shapiro brings more than 20 years of telecommunications management experience and a keen understanding of the unique invoice and CRM requirements to the company.


GDS is not new to the invoice and statement distribution business. "Our client base reads like a who’s who of the financial services, insurance and telecom industry," says the company.


The GDS has developed the back-office infrastructure to meet the complete invoice-generation and distribution needs of the telecom sector. Its newly improved Web-based e-delivery tools allow companies to migrate customers to e-based invoice and statement presentment. GDS has developed dynamic document interaction through personalized Web portals, providing end users with a range of functionality in their monthly invoices and statements. GDS also specializes in providing data aggregation and standardization technology focused at the telecom market and the multitude of data feeds that have evolved.
