BellSouth Provisions Directory Assistance for Canada, Puerto Rico

BellSouth Corp. said today it now offers U.S. carrier customers international wholesale directory assistance for Canada and Puerto Rico.

The offering lets carriers provide services including national directory assistance, enhanced directory assistance and international directory assistance, along with the ability to bill end users for separate types of calls.

Our new international directory assistance is designed to help carriers improve customer service and retain customers, said Rex Adams, president of BellSouth Interconnection Services, in a statement. [C]ustomers can now obtain the information they want driving directions, movie listings, stock quotes or international numbers for Canada and Puerto Rico.
