Beaverton, Oregon-based Bigleaf Networks, which offers a cloud-based Internet redundancy and optimization service, has named John Hogan to head up its channel sales.

As vice president of partner sales and business development, Hogan is tasked with growing the company’s channel program and helping partners to sell Bigleaf’s Internet optimization services.

Hogan comes to Bigleaf with some heft to his resume. He’s a former indirect channel director at Level 3 Communications and director of partner sales for Comcast Business’ West division. His other experience includes stints at CenturyLink, Mammoth Networks, Covad Communications and Verilytics, which he co-founded. He started his career in telecommunications with a 10-year stay at U S West/Qwest Communications, where he spent the majority of his time running the Pacific Region of its channel program.

Bigleaf, which dubs itself as “built for the channel,” offers a plug-and-play service that aims to address inconsistent reliability and performance of cloud connectivity. With Bigleaf in place, the company says customers can confidently sell and deploy cloud-based services – including VoIP – over any combination of Internet service providers. The service also creates additional revenue streams for the agent both via our recurring compensation, as well as the additional required Internet connections.

You can meet representatives from Bigleaf Networks at Cloud Partners, a Channel Partners event, this fall in Boston, where the company will be exhibiting. Clear here for more details and to register for the event.
