Broadvox CLEC Arm to Buy Infotelecom Out of Bankruptcy
The transaction is expected to give Broadvox nationwide coverage.

Broadvox-CLEC LLC, an affiliate of UC provider Broadvox Inc., announced that it has entered into an agreement to purchase the assets of Infotelecom LLC out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The asset purchase is pending regulatory approvals and is expected to close before the end of 2012.
Upon approval, Infotelecom, its assets and customers will be transferred to Broadvox-CLEC, giving Broadvox-CLEC nationwide coverage.
Broadvox-CLEC currently operates as a competitive local exchange carrier on a regional basis,” said Kyle Bertrand, vice president of network planning at Broadvox-CLEC. “With the Infotelecom purchase, Broadvox-CLEC can now offer its products and services nationwide.”
Nationwide offerings include long-distance and local termination, toll-free and DID origination, MSRN service, E911, SMS, virtual tandem service, SIP-enabled Pseudo CIC and 1+ transport, traffic exchange and IP peering.
The companies said Infotelecom customers will experience not interruption in service and will continue to receive service on the same terms and conditions.
Infotelecom filed for bankruptcy Oct. 18, 2011.
