BT has announced a global licensing agreement with Ring2 to enable its MeetMe users to manage and control audio conferences from their smartphones.

Ring2’s Mobile Conference Management (MCM) solution will be integrated into BT’s global MeetMe infrastructure. The chairperson of a MeetMe call will be able to use his or her BlackBerry or Windows Mobile smartphone to manage all aspects of their call, leading to a smoother, more efficient conferencing experience.

“BT is a leader in the provision of world-class conferencing and collaboration services and we’re delighted they’ve chosen to introduce our technology as part of their core customer offering,” said Steve Flavell, co-CEO of Ring2. “By integrating our MCM and MeetMe, we can help businesses make the most of their collaborative services.”

BT MeetMe mobile controller will be piloted in June and available to customers in September 2009.
