Concretio Inc. (Booth 220) announced at the CompTel/ASCENT Convention & Expo that Buckeye TeleSystem Inc. is implementing Concretios TRS provisioning products. In conjunction with its sister company, Buckeye CableSystem, Buckeye will deploy the Concretio technology to facilitate its launch of IP residential phone service in the SBC and Verizon North territories.

TRS is an OSS allows CLECs, ICPs, resellers and ISPs to perform pre-order and ordering functions. The TRS processes resale and UNE-P services for POTS, Centrex, DS1, ADTS, BRI, PRI and other complex services.

When we decided to automate our residential provisioning process with the ILEC to port customers quickly and efficiently to our network we looked to Concretio and their OSS solutions to help with our initiative, says Joe Jensen, president of Buckeye TeleSystem and CTO for Buckeye CableSystem. Concretio was found to be highly regarded in the OSS space for competitive telecom carriers and we look forward to launching soon. The Concretio solution will enable us to realize operational efficiencies in our small, medium and large business customer segments as well.

Buckeye CableSystem will market the new service under the trade name Buckeye TEL. Both Buckeye CableSystem and Buckeye TeleSystem are wholly owned subsidiaries of Block Communications Inc., a 105 year-old family-held company that also operates newspapers, cable systems, broadcast television stations, a home-security firm and a fiber construction firm.

Buckeye TeleSystem is a very stable but aggressive player in the CLEC market and we are proud to have them as a new customer, says Kevin Williams, Concretio CEO. Concretio will provide not only the ILEC provisioning solution but also the integration needed to port customers seamlessly to the new services Buckeye will be offering.
