PRESS RELEASE – BOSTON, June 16, 2015 – Carbonite, Inc. (NASDAQ: CARB), a leading provider of cloud and hybrid business continuity solutions for small and midsized businesses (SMBs), today announced the latest release of its email archiving solution MailStore Server. MailStore Server creates 1:1 copies of all emails in a central archive to ensure compliance, data availability and long-term data security. With this release, MailStore Server delivers a fully integrated job scheduler that eliminates the need for third-party scheduling tools, advances support for Microsoft Office 365 and improves search functionality.

MailStore is one of the world’s leading software solutions for email archiving, management and compliance. With over 25,000 business customers in more than 100 countries, MailStore Server supports most commercially available email systems and archiving methods, including Microsoft Exchange Server, Office 365 and Google Apps, and leads the market in terms of performance, functionality and ease of use. MailStore Server is quick and easy to install, and remains low-maintenance and reliable even when managing large volumes of email. The latest version of MailStore Server underscores Carbonite’s commitment to providing small businesses with powerful yet simple enterprise-grade business continuity solutions.

This release of MailStore Server introduces a powerful, fully integrated job scheduler that eliminates the need for external tools such as Windows Task Scheduler. The new functionality makes it possible for all security and maintenance tasks – including backups, rebuilding of corrupt search indexes, data verification and compacting of databases – to be automated according to a schedule and conveniently monitored via a central dashboard.

The release also includes advanced support for Microsoft Office 365, providing SMBs without Active Directory the ability to synchronize the MailStore Server user list directly with Office 365. What’s more, MailStore Server user authentication can now be carried out directly using the Office 365 access data. In addition, message list optimization for MailStore Web Access and the Outlook add-in makes it easier for users to navigate through extensive search results and content within folders.

“Email communication has become an integral part of continuous business operations and ensuring long-term access to all emails – and the information within – is critical to the success of businesses of all sizes. MailStore Server email archiving enables SMBs to protect their businesses against data loss and helps them meet growing regulations on email compliance, eDiscovery and other legislation, at an affordable, fixed price,” said Christopher Wey, Vice President of Corporate Development at Carbonite.

The latest release of MailStore Server is now available free of charge to all MailStore customers with active update and support service. A free 30-day trial version is also available for download. For more on the latest version of MailStore Server, please visit http://cbnt.it/1cW5Qg3.
