Systems integrator Carousel Industries has appointed Bill Thompson to the position of vice president, video services.

Thompson has 20 years of experience in the video and telecommunications industries. He has worked at all levels, from field technician to engineering, as well as managed global operations organizations.

In todays video environment there has emerged a clear need for a truly comprehensive managed video offer. Exciting, yet disruptive, trends and convergences in the collaborations space have positioned the service-provider industry with no clear leader. Carousel Industries is positioning to set the bar for what a true IT/enterprise-grade managed service looks like within the video space,” said Thompson.

Thompson joins Carousel from BT Conferencing where he was global head of video operations. He was responsible for operations, strategic development and business leadership across BT’s entire video portfolio.
