Carousel Industries Plans Acquisition of Avaya Business Partner

The planned acquisition will expand Carousels footprint in the Northeast.

Technology integrator Carousel Industries Inc. on Wednesday announced a letter of intent to acquire the assets of Juma Technology Corp.

Farmingdale, N.Y.-based Juma has approximately 350 customers and also is a business partner of Avaya, the global provider of enterprise communications systems.

In a press release, Carousel Industries said the planned acquisition builds on its core capabilities in convergence, IP telephony and traditional networking while expanding its customer footprint in the northeastern region.”

Carousel Industries has acquired a number of Avaya business partners over the last few years, according to company executives in a recent interview with Channel Partners. 

Based in Exeter, R.I., Carousel Industries has roughly 800 employees and serves more than 5,000 customers, including 35 of the Fortune 100. The company provides businesses a variety of solutions ranging from data networking to unified communications and mobility solutions.

Carousel Industries generated about $220 million in annual revenues last year, according to Kelly Harman, the companys vice president of marketing.
