Security giant McAfee has a new president and CEO.
Greg Johnson (pictured) takes over for Peter Leav, who recently led McAfee’s $14 billion sale to an investor group.
Johnson will help the company transition to one focused on pure-play consumer protection. He previously was an executive VP and general manager at Intuit.

John Coyle is Intelisys‘ newest solutions engineer in the Northeast.
The 20-year industry vet most recently was senior channel sales manager at Bigleaf.
In a move that came as a surprise to most outside of Microsoft, channel chief Rodney Clark announced his departure just one year after accepting the job.
Clark has since revealed that effective June 1, he is taking over as chief commercial officer at industrial automation giant Johnson Controls, a company that “has been a great partner to Microsoft,” according to Clark’s former boss, corporate VP Nick Parker.
Clark’s departure comes as Microsoft makes a number of changes to its channel program that have been met with concern by many partners.

Congrats to Kim Rusch, promoted at IntelePeer, the CPaaS provider, to director, digital transformation solution specialist. The two-and-a-half year veteran of the company previously was regional director, channel sales.
You might also know her from her days at TBI, Sandler Partners and X4.
ConnectWise added Tony Hale (right), chief information officer, and Ciaran Chu, general manager of ConnectWise Control, to its leadership team.
Hale comes to ConnectWise from Office Depot, where he was executive VP and global CIO. Chu joins the team from software company ACI Worldwide.
ConnectWise Control is the MSP technology provider’s remote access tool for IT pros.

Michael Cibelli just got promoted to VP – Channels, North America at 8×8.
The two-and-a-half year veteran also has experience from Avaya, BlueJeans and Oracle.
Based in the Chicago area, Kevin Spry is a a new regional channel director for Nitel, the next-gen tech services provider.
He spent nearly six years at Intelisys before making the move to Nitel. Spry is also an AccessOne and Cbeyond alumnus.
Industry veteran Bob Gault (pictured) is the new chief revenue officer at Auvik, the provider of cloud-based network management software.
You might very well remember him from his days at Extreme Networks, Cisco and Geoverse.
Auvik also recently appointed Susanne Rodriguez as VP of marketing and Jason George as VP of sales to “continue its momentum in the MSP and corporate IT industries.”
It’s a promotion for Ana Cordova at Nice CXOne, the customer experience software provider. Her last role was channel marketing manager, CRX alliances.
Cordova also has three years of experience from CallTower and three at Oracle.
Paul Moncrief is VP of sales for the East at Involta, the hybrid cloud solutions and infrastructure provider.
Six years of his industry experience came at Windstream, while another eight is from CDW.
Google Cloud‘s new Global Strategic Consumers and Industries business unit will be led by Umesh Vemuri.
While Vemuri won’t directly interact with the channel, Google Cloud partners will be able to resell and service the solutions that Vemuri’s teams build.

David Addis is now sales director for the new Lumen VAR program.
Addis has been with Lumen/CenturyLink for more than six years, most recently as managing director for the systems integrator vertical.
Before that, he was with Verizon for 19 years.

His last gig was channel sales manager for WOW Business.
Channel veteran Scott Kinka, who made a name for himself at Evolve IP, is the newly appointed chief strategy officer at Bridgepointe Technologies.
After 15 years at Evolve IP, Kinka will oversee several areas of internal expansion at Bridgepointe, which is capitalizing on its recent investment from Charlesbank Capital Partners.

RapidScale, a Cox Business company, named Bryon Waters a cloud solutions consultant covering Tennessee, Ohio and Kentucky. He is responsible for supporting partners in that region, equipping them with the tools and resources to develop their cloud businesses.

Gennifer Biggs is the new manager for worldwide partner marketing communications at Citrix.
Riggs recently had stints at IT By Design and Data Inventions, but you might know her best from nearly seven years at Ingram Micro.
A couple of moves at Comcast Business to tell you about.
That’s Connor Cook on the right, new partner sales manager for the Northeast. This new job comes after more than four years at Lumen.
That’s Megan Frost on the left, new indirect account manager at the cable company. It’s a promotion for the four-year Comcast vet.
It’s a promotion for Jesse Grindeland at Commvault the data protection/backup and recovery supplier.
A VMware and Microsoft channel alumnus, Grindeland moves from VP, Americas channels and alliances sales, to VP, global cloud ecosystems and GTM.
Pamela Bartz is the new senior VP of marketing at CybelAngel, which bills itself as an external digital risk protection platform.
Most recently at OPSWAT, Bartz is a 25-year industry veteran who will oversee demand generation, brand experience, internal and external communications as well as regional and channel marketing expansion at CybelAngel.
You might know Matt Courchesne from Kaspersky, where he was North America channel chief. Now he’s switching cybersecurity vendors, popping up in a similar role at Cyware.

NeoSystems, the outsourcer, systems integrator and MSP to the government contracting market, named Kathy Gibbs its new VP, partners and alliances. It’s a promotion for Gibbs, who just joined the company last year.
Before that, she spent nearly six years at Deltek.
After three-plus years at OpenText, Thyal Balachandran is the new director of sales operations at Datto.
Balachandran was with Carbonite for almost two years before OpenText bought the security provider.
Dan Whelan is the new North central region channel director at Evolve IP.
Whelan joins his new team from SCB Global. He also brings a host of experience from companies such as Unitrends and Cisco.
Fusion Connect, the cloud solutions provider, hired Matthew Sharp as a new senior channel manager.
Based in the Twin Cities, “Sharpie” brings experience from Nextiva, NetFortris and more.
Andrew Rustad joins Sandler Partners, the tech services brokerage, as director, sales engineer, East region. The move comes after a three-year run at Intelisys.
Rustad’s career stops also include Windstream, Verizon and Nice InContact.
JFrog, the creator of the JFrog DevOps platform, named Kelly Hartman its new senior VP of channels and alliances, responsible for scaling JFrog’s growth through tech alliances and partnerships with global SIs and VARs.
Hartman’s last job was VP of ecosystem and business development at IBM.
After three years at CompTIA, the IT industry association, Stacy Whitley found a new home at Sophos, with a title of CAE, marketplace and telco.
Whitley also is a veteran of vMox and Informa, where she was a key part of the Channel Partners sales team.
TBI hired Vincent Gagliardi as business development manager serving partners in five southern states.
There’s a good chance you know Gagliardi from other channel sales roles, most recently as channel integration manager with Windstream Enterprise.
SaaS cybersecurity platform vendor TitanHQ hired Tom Watson as its new channel chief.
Watson is a former MSP owner who has been channel chief for vendors such as NinjaOne and Axcient.
Alan Burnett takes the reins as VP of partners and channels at Quark Software, which provides content design, automation and intelligence software.
His previous employers include Erwin, Corso and IBM.
Adam Slutskin, former ConnectWise and Liongard CRO, is the new chief channel adviser at NinjaOne, the RMM software provider.
The company says Slutskin will be tasked with helping to drive it forward during a “high growth” period.

It’s another promotion for Yvette Barreto, a 23-year veteran of TPx (and formerly TelePacific Communications). Barreto (right) is now VP, service delivery, at the company.
New to TPx is Mark Blanchard, who takes the position of senior director, national channel development. He comes to TPx from Nextiva, where he was West regional channel sales director.
Meet Kyle McCaffrey, new strategic business development manager, MSP, at Trend Micro.
It’s a promotion for McCaffrey, who previously was a national channel account manager for the security provider.
Tammy Collier joined Twilio as Flex contact center sales director after nearly three years at Five9, where she most recently was enterprise sales director.
Collier also has experience at Oracle, AWS and Salesforce.
Clarence Anderson just started his new job as strategic alliances manager at Ujet, the cloud contact center solutions provider.
He previously spent nearly two-and-a-half years in IntelePeer’s channel.
After 12 years at IDT Corp., Patricia Sardo joined Upstack and its growing team.
The company has used $150 million in private investment to buy close to 20 agencies and other partner businesses to date.
It’s a new position for Alethea Peyrin at Verizon. She is now managing director, channel partnerships, public sector.
Her last role was global technology partner leader.
Vertek, which supplies end-to-end telecom solutions to carriers, MSPs and other channel partners, named Jorge Reis chief strategy officer.
Reis is best known for more than 18 years at Telstra.
Volt Active Data (formerly VoltDB) welcomed Stephanie Freeze as its new head of global alliances to further develop and strengthen the company’s partner strategy.
Volt provides an enterprise-grade data platform.
Previous stops on Freeze’s career journey include GE and SAP.
Six years after leaving Windstream, Erica Edhouse is back as an account director.
She’s a former director of channel sales at FatPipe Networks and most recently was a regional VP at NetFortris.
After seven years at Panasonic, Brandon Williams now is VP, sales and distribution, Americas, at Zetron, which supplies tech solutions to the public safety, transportation and utilities sectors, and more.
Williams brings eight years of experience from Motorola and seven from Panasonic.
After 10 years with Comcast Business, it’s off to zLinq, the IT communications service provider, for Cassie McDaniels, where she is major client services manager.
Her last role at Comcast was national partner account manager.
Paul Brodie (pictured) joins Nebulon, the “smart infrastructure” provider, as VP of global channel sales. He comes to Nebulon from OpsRamp, the IT operations management platform vendor, where he also was VP of channel sales.
Nebulon made another key hire as well, appointing SolidFire and NetApp alum Martin Cooper to VP of customer experience.
