Smoothstone is proudly sponsoring the TBI “channel healthy” event at the Las Vegas Rock n Roll Marathon, which will be held Sunday, Dec. 5, at Las Vegas famous Strip.” The sponsorship is part of TBIs push to make the channel healthy” by gathering channel partners to sponsor events that promote good health.
This will be the first of many events we will organize to increase awareness of a healthy lifestyle,” TBI said. Our goal is to have a neutral environment where vendors, partners, end users and competitors can work together as a team to be healthier.”
TBIs team in the Las Vegas Marathon is open to anybody including partners, vendors, friends, family, spouses, customers, etc.
Smoothstones own Chuck Piazza, senior vice president, will be participating as part of the TBI team. Chuck is an avid runner, and the Las Vegas race will be his fifth marathon in less than two years.
Im proud to represent Smoothstone for this inaugural channel healthy event put on by one of our partners, TBI,” Piazza said. This is a great way to draw attention to promoting a healthy lifestyle into the entire telecommunications industry.”
The Vegas Rock ‘n’ Roll is unique in that it mixes of running and entertainment along the famous Las Vegas strip. Twenty-one bands will be placed at various locations along the Strip, playing rock n roll as the runners go by. The Vegas course is known as a good race for beginners due to a flat course but also challenging for experienced runners with a goal to beat their best time.
Taking place in December, the weather is typically cool and crisp with the average temperature of 50 degrees at the beginning of the race. Proceeds from the marathon will support the Crohns and Colitis Foundation.
If you are interested in running in the race or volunteering, please contact Mike Saxby at TBI. Even if youre not a runner, they are looking for trainers, post-recovery aid station supporters, runners/pace keepers, cheerleaders and anyone willing to spread the word.
