Channel Surfing Blog: Telarus Top Performers Hit the Caribbean
Master agency Telarus recently treated its highest-volume agents to a much-needed getaway.

Telecom master agency Telarus Inc. recently wrapped up its first-ever Presidents Club trip for its top partners. Feb. 14-17, Telarus treated its highest performers of 2010 to an all-expenses paid trip aboard Royal Caribbeans Majesty of the Seas, with stops in Key West, Nassau and CocoCay in the Bahamas. On the ship, agents enjoyed rock climbing, poker, musical performances, comedians, sailing, dancing on the pool deck under the full moon, and fine cuisine.
To wit, agents Zachary Schecter, Tim ORourke and Ron Legarski all held their own in a rock-climbing contest proposed by Telarus co-founder Patrick Oborn. They scaled the 100-foot structure in seconds. Meanwhile, agent Wes Spining, from Nashville, won the three-day karaoke contest with a Travis Tritt song. And Tammy Rinella of Total Carrier Solutions won the bingo games twice.
Off the boat, Telarus top performers tanned on the Caribbean beaches and unplugged from their constant communications.
We believe that the best way we can show our appreciation [is] to give our top agent and carrier partners a few days away to recharge their batteries,” said Adam Edwards, president of Telarus. These folks are so focused on their businesses that you literally have to seclude them on a boat in the middle of the ocean for them to relax, recharge, and to form long-lasting business relationships. Mission accomplished!”
Windstream Corp.,
MegaPath Inc. and XO sponsored the inaugural Telarus Presidents Club trip for 2010. The 2011 getaway will be held at a resort in Cancun, Mexico.
