CHANNEL PARTNERS Charter Business (Booth 4001) has signed MicroCorp as its fifth national master agent partner and hired a well-known channel veteran as sales director.

MicroCorp joins Intelisys Communications Inc., Telarus Inc., Telecom Brokerage Inc. (TBI) and WTG. Charter also works with a small number of regional partners and, this year, will start adding VAR and cloud solution providers as partners.

Charter Business credited channel chief Michael Fair, who joined the company about a year ago, with its success in the channel. In addition to rounding out the master agency lineup, Fair also has hired seven channel managers over the past year, bringing the total to 11, and two other, key personnel: Jeff Leshin and Carole Lehnerz.

Leshin comes to Charter Business from master agency Sandler Partners, where he served as vice president of business development. He also has worked for Ernest Communications Inc., CMS and Acceris. At Charter Business, he serves as director of sales in the channel program. He oversees channel sales policies, objectives, and initiatives for Charter’s Southwest Region, and is based in Atlanta.

Lehnerz, meanwhile, now serves as marketing manager for the Charter Business partner program. Based in Denver, Lehnerz plans, develops and executes on all channel marketing programs for Charter Business.
