* Global investment management firm T.
Rowe Price Group has selected Meeting-Place, an integrated voice- and Web
conferencing solution provided by Latitude Communications. T. Rowe Price
has deployed MeetingPlace equipment onsite within its own network, using secure
features such as ID numbers and passwords, and the ability to announce arriving
attendees and "lock" meetings. The company, which serves customers in
the United States, Asia, Europe and South America, uses MeetingPlace to enable
geographically dispersed teams to collaborate in real time and for management
calls requiring security.

* Fairchild Semiconductor
International, a global supplier of power products, has selected Genesys
Meeting Center from Genesys Conferencing for internal communications
among more than 20 company locations around the world. Genesys Meeting Center is
a fully integrated audio, video and Web confererencing collaboration platform
accessible on demand through the Internet. Among its features is Web-based
desktop application sharing that allows Fairchild conference participants to
show presentations and demonstrate new software systems locally and to remote
users simultaneously.

* Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. has
standardized on TANDBERG video conferencing solutions, with systems
installed in the company’s 26 sites nationwide. Harrah’s is running video
conferencing in a 100-percent IP environment. The total Harrah’s solution is
provided by Advanced Media Design Inc. (AMD) in association with Kelley
Communication Co. Inc., a Las Vegas-based solutions provider.

* The Motion Media Technology
mm225 videophones are being used by field reporters from FOX News Network to
transmit late-breaking news in real-time. Once on location, images from the
videophones’ built-in camera are compressed digitally and sent at 64kbps to a
small satellite telephone to the studio. The Motion Media video codec also is
utilized in the Talking Head VideoReporter, a ruggedized videophone being used
by CNN and BBC.
