COMPTEL: Cavalier Network Expands In Mid-west, Northeast

Cavalier Telephone & TV (Booth 318) has expanded its network presence in Michigan, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania with 125 fiber-fed central offices.
The company has added PoPs in the New York cities of Albany (14), Buffalo (15) and Syracuse (11); the Ohio cities of Cleveland (26) and Columbus (13); the Michigan cities of Detroit (16), Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and Lansing (15); as well as Pittsburgh (15).
Cavalier now has physical colocation in more than 600 COs/PoPs in the Midwest, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and South. Carrier, fiber-fed services are available in 15 states, including Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia and Washington D.C.
Cavalier also has more than 14,000 route miles in its fiber network serving more than 570,000 customers. It has more than $1 billion in fiber-optic networking assets installed supporting voice (PRI, integrated T1, VoIP, transit, termination/origination), private lines (DS1OC48, 2.5/10G waves), private networks (SONET/DWDM), Ethernet services (E-Line and Internet access from 3mbps to 1gbps), long-haul and metro dark fiber, Internet access (DSL, DIA, EFM) and colocation.
