CompTIA Board of Directors Elects Chairman, Vice Chair

The CompTIA board of directors on Wednesday elected a new chairman for 2006-2007.
Wayne Mize, vice president of Netsourcing Business Center in the document solutions and services division of Ricoh U.S., succeeds Gary Gillam, vice president of North American resellers channel operations for Xerox North America. Gillam continues to serve as an ex-officio member of the board.
Mize joined Ricoh in 1983, and heads the companys technology solutions center and solutions marketing division.
William Owens, vice president of service and support for Lenovo Group was elected vice chairman of the associations board of directors.
Brian D. Wiser, senior vice president of sales for Ingram Micro North America, will serve as board secretary, while Mark D. Romanowski, executive vice president of ASI System Integration, will be board treasurer.
Other people elected to the board of directors were: Robin Adda, managing director of gtsleaning in London; Alan Borck, president and CEO of ARC Communication; Greg Dixon, CTO of ScanSource Inc.; Jim Dixon, CEO of CompuCom Systems; Rick Gray, vice president and country manager (Canada) for Decision One; Gregg Kalman, director of global channel strategy and operations for Avaya Inc.; John A.C. Kelly, general manager of global corporate affairs, Microsoft Corp.; Julie Parrish, vice president for the global channel office for Symantec Corp.; John Paget, president of the technology solutions division for SYNNEX Corp.; David Roberts Sr., vice president of Americas sales for Websense; Ted Roller, partner at SpryPoint Staffing; M.J. Shoer, president and virtual CTO for Jenaly Technology Group Inc.; and Jim Wittry, vice president of new customer acquisition for Global Technology Finance.
