The Westcon Group division will add its own procurement system to the effort.

Westcon Groups Comstor unit now supports Cisco Systems Inc.s TelePresence Global Partner Network (GPN).
The network, part of Ciscos Distributor-as-Agent track, lets partners oversee project management, delivery and logistics for customers telepresence purchases. As part of the effort, Comstor will use its Global Procurement System to support international telepresence rollouts. The system streamlines project management and ensures coordination at the local level, such as tax-law and excise-duties compliance.
Comstor will use GPS alongside Ciscos GPN to address the needs of telepresence resellers and integrators,” said Jon Pritchard, Comstor president.
The initiative makes it easier for Cisco partners to assist customers in creating centralized design and purchasing decisions while working locally to manage global product and services delivery,” Pritchard said.
Comstor is the division of value-added distributor Westcon Group that sells only Cisco products. Cisco said end-users have been asking for ways to expand their telepresence operations in new countries, without having to sacrifice the ability to work with their channel partners.
The new GPN track is available to Cisco TelePresence Video Advanced, Advanced Plus, and Master Authorized Technology Provider Partners. Partner benefits include a deal support team and centralized support via global order management.
