Covad, ShoreTel Sales Vet Joins Evolve IP

Cloud services provider Evolve IP has hired a unified communications veteran as one of its sales leaders.

The company announced Tuesday that Bob Maute has joined as vice president of sales for the eastern U.S. Maute has been in the position since April.

Maute has worked in various direct and indirect sales positions over the past 10 years at companies such as Covad Communications, West IP Communications and ShoreTel. He sat down for a video interview with us at the 2014 Channel Partners Conference & Expo when with ShoreTel.

Tim Allen, Evolve IP’s chief sales and marketing officer, says Maute has strong professional experience and technical expertise.

“Bob is a top producer with significant experience working with customers and partners on designing and selling cloud services,” he said. “We’re very excited for him to build out his team and further increase our market penetration in the region.”{ad}

Maute said he is looking forward to continuing Evolve IP’s “incredible growth.”

“Before joining the company I was very familiar with the team and technology — including the Evolve IP OneCloudTM,” he said. “As a sales executive I’m thrilled to now have the ability to provide customers with … cloud computing and cloud communications; it’s a great market differentiator.”

Evolve IP recently announced an investment from Great Hill Partners that will go to boost product offerings, its footprint and distribution channels.
