Deltapath Goes Exclusive With Quintum VoIP Gateways
December 16, 2008
Network Equipment Technologies (NET) (NWK), announced that Quintum, now a part of NET, has collaborated with Hong Kong-based Deltapath to provide customers software-based IP PBX solutions. Under the terms of the relationship, Deltapath will exclusively use Quintum Tenor VoIP gateways to provide customers of its frSIP IP PBX with PSTN connectivity – as well as support of their existing analog devices, such as fax machines and embedded modems.
Through Deltapath’s reseller channel, it has already installed the frSIP-Tenor solution in hundreds of locations worldwide.
Deltapath selected Quintum’s Tenor gateways after an extensive evaluation of the full range of VoIP-PSTN connectivity products on the market. Tenor gateways offered a variety of critical technical advantages ― including significantly superior echo cancellation ― as well as better overall value, the companies explained.
Tenor gateways also provide remote management functionality that Deltapath has integrated into its frSIP platform, enabling customers to monitor, control and troubleshoot their entire IP telephony environment from a single console. This integration also enables Deltapath to provide its customers with value-added remote management services ― allowing them to reduce technology ownership costs while ensuring the continuous quality of corporate voice communications. As part of this value-added service, Deltapath can maintain backups of up-to-date configuration data for customers’ PBXs and gateways. This configuration backup service facilitates rapid recovery in the event of a device failure or catastrophic business interruption.
