Fonality, provider of open-source, Asterisk-based IP telephony systems, today announced its new, tiered reseller certification and training programs, which provide data and telephony resellers with enhanced readiness and expanded support for selling PBXtra, the companys IP PBX phone system.

PBXtra, Fonality’s enterprise-class IP PBX, is based on a modified version of the open-source Asterisk code base. The new releases of PBXtra Professional Edition and HUD Team provide resellers with the ability to offer companies with 50-to-500 employees more advanced capabilities.

The open-source revolution is changing the landscape of the telephony channel forever, said Chris Vuillaume, vice president of business and channel development at Fonality. We created this new program to eliminate problems resellers expressed about traditional PBX and IP PBX telephony reseller programs. Our goal is to be the easiest telephony company to deal with by providing resellers with higher profits, best-of-breed products, dedicated demand creation and outstanding sales, training and mentoring support.

Fonalitys Business Partner Program offers resellers online training, support and demand creation programs through its three membership levels: Premium, Authorized or Affiliate. Each level includes different support options and business incentives from Fonality depending on the level of reseller commitment. Resellers choose the program that best meets their needs, depending on the size of their organization, technical expertise and infrastructure.
