Two former PAETEC employees are developing the channel program at Southern California-based DATAVO, a competitive service provider.

Gary Eisenberger, who once served as vice president of channel sales for PAETEC’s west region territory, now works as vice president of sales and marketing at DATAVO. He has been at DATAVO since July and was instrumental in the company’s hiring of Donna Basist, who has been working as director of channel sales since mid-October.

Basist comes to DATAVO from TelePacific Communications and MASS Communications; she also worked with Eisenberger at PAETEC, before it was bought by Windstream. Basist was a senior channel manager and, in 1999, helped launch PAETEC’s channel program on the west coast.

We are one of the last remaining small CLECs in a world of large mergers and acquisitions,” Basist said. “We believe this put us in the best possible position to provide our agents the product sets they need with the personalized attention they deserve.”

DATAVO targets businesses in the greater Los Angeles area.

We are going to put the fun back into selling telecom,” said Eisenberger.
