iotum is acquiring all of the assets of Global Conference Partners. The deal also includes InstantConference.com, GlobalConference.com and several other international brands.

iotum, a privately held operator of the teleconferencing service Calliflower.com based in Toronto, Canada, announced Wednesday that it has acquired California-based Global Conference Partners, the provider of FreeConference.com.

iotum is acquiring all of the assets of GCP, a portfolio company of American Capital Ltd. In addition to FreeConference.com, the transaction includes InstantConference.com, GlobalConference.com and several other international brands. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Jason Martin, president and CEO, said in a press statement that the GCP services will continue to be offered from Glendale, Calif., and no employees will lose their jobs as a result of the acquisition, said Martin. 

Calliflower also will continue as a conferencing service, Martin said.
