Wholesale VoIP provider GlobalTouch Telecom Inc. on Tuesday said it had added nearly 12,000 new international rate centers, including new phone numbers and LNP access, to its networks.

The additions mean the companys SIPTalk customers now can offer DIDs and LNP in 46 of the lower 48 United States, as well as Hawaii, Canada, the United Kingdom and South America. These new phone numbers are available for the company’s VoIP customers, including the SIPTalk-Pro, SIPTalk-PBX and SIPTalk-Pro Reseller products.

“Between all the rate centers engaged by GlobalTouch Telecom, the deal represents 11,889 distinct NPA-NXXs where we can provide DIDs,” explained Cliff Rees, COO of GlobalTouch Telecom. “We also have European DIDs coming on. The expansion allows us to now port numbers from approximately 140,000 NPA-NXXs.”

GlobalTouch Telecom said more regions, coupled with more applications, equal more revenue streams for its ASP resellers.

“International VoIP numbers mean considerable cost savings for end users and businesses, because you are now plugged into the same VoIP platform, rather than making long-distance calls over the traditional PSTN, said Greg. O. Welch, the companys CEO. This means anyone, whether a private person calling home or small-to-large enterprises, will enjoy benefits like immediate cost savings and increases in productivity.”
