Ron Harden, former vice president of sales and marketing for Volo Communications, as well as former chairman for CompTel/ASCENT, has joined VoIP provider VoX Communications as executive vice president of sales and marketing.

Volo recently was acquired by VoIP Inc.

Ron has a great reputation and will be a strong addition to our VoX team, says Mark Richards, president of VoX Communications. He has more than 25 years’ domestic and international experience in the areas of sales and marketing, engineering, business development, and strategic planning, and understands the VoIP business better than most in the industry.

Prior to Volo, Harden served as executive vice president for Grande Communications; director and COO for PointOne Telecommunications Inc.; Williams Communications; WorldCom Inc.; and WilTel Communications.

VoX is the Florida-based, wholly owned subsidiary of eLEC Communications Corp., a CLEC in New York.
