InfoHighway Communications Corp. said today it has acquired Future Telecom, a New York-based reseller of voice and data communications.

The privately held CLEC had not made any previous announcements about the buyout and did not release terms of the deal.

InfoHighway earlier this year bought Eureka, making the combined provider one of the largest in the Northeastern U.S.

“This is an important acquisition for us in terms of size, distribution channels and most importantly, obtaining a premier customer base with over $4 million in annual revenues concentrated in the New York metropolitan area,” said Jeff Ginsberg, chairman of InfoHighway Communications. “This transaction continues our strategy of smart expansion focusing on our major markets.”

InfoHighway already has integrated Future Telecoms sales channels, operations and customer service functions with its own processes. The CLEC offers services including hosted PBX and integrated T1s.
