INFONXX, an independent provider of directory assistance and enhanced information services, has announced it has completed the acquisitions of Excell Services, the U.S.-based independent provider of directory assistance, operator services and inbound customer service, and Conduit Limited, a European information services company. Through these acquisitions, INFONXX will process more than one billion directory assistance inquiries this year, the company said.

The Excell Services acquisition adds more service options for current INFONXX customers, including operator services and customer care. Excell Services operates call centers in the United States, Canada and the Philippines. The INFONXX and Excell brands will remain and the Excell Services management team will continue to manage the daily operations of its products, while collaborating with INFONXX on service offerings.

INFONXX, which is the parent company of directory assistance market leaders The Number (118 118) in the United Kingdom and Le Numero (118 218) in France, has also completed the acquisition of Conduit, which operates call centers in Ireland, Austria, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, providing directory inquiry services direct to consumers and outsourced customer care support for a number of large corporate clients. Conduit and The Number will continue to be run with separate brands and management teams in their respective markets.
