Integra Brings Lippold on Board as EVP, COO

Oregon-based CLEC Integra Telecom has hired an industry long-timer as its new executive vice president and COO.

Brian Lippold comes to the company after 20 years work at operators including FairPoint Communications, Level 3 Communications, Telcove and Long Distance North.

Lippold will oversee Integras wholesale carrier division as well as the providers national account strategy.

Brian brings extensive telecom knowledge and experience to Integras executive management team,” Dudley Slater, CEO of Integra Telecom, said in a prepared statement. Lippold will make the most of Integras extensive metro fiber network to serve important segments of the market that we have either not served or served on a limited basis in the past,” Slater added.

Integra serves 11 Western states with a focus on business and government customers. The CLEC is privately held, backed by investors including Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Tennenbaum Capital Partners.
