Cloud communications provider IntelePeer has partnered with Workspace Communications, introducing a hosted unified communications platform incorporating SIP trunking and on-demand communications services. The Communications-as-a-Service system is based on Microsofts Office Communications Server, and combines IntelePeers QuickStart SIP Trunking program, Voice Peering Network and SuperRegistry (a database of IP-addressable phone numbers) with WorkSpaces hosted UC, Microsoft-compliant system that simplifies installation while minimizing customization with related applications.
While IntelePeer handles the network connectivity, WorkSpace provides an on-demand, Platform-as-a Service offering that can be private labeled for systems integrators, cable operators, CLECs and VARs. Its subscription-based portfolio includes VoIP, broadband, Microsoft e-mail, IM audio/video conferencing and Live Meeting, along with managed services for premises-based or hosted implementations.
The IntelePeer Quick Start program is optimized for Microsoft OCS, said Margaret Norton, general manager, enterprise for IntelePeer. We can turn around a hosted, Microsoft-certified SIP trunk as rapidly as five days, giving our partners and customers the agility they need for todays dynamic market.
Another benefit is IntelePeer offers hosted SIP trunks without imposing minimum commitments, so customers arent locked in to a long-term contract with higher upfront costs. Its network is engineered for QoS over the public or private Internet, enabling customers to stay with their existing provider and CPE.
