ITEXPO: Adding VoIP to ACT!

If you’re looking for signs that mash-ups are moving into the mainstream, look no further than today’s announcement by BroadSoft Inc. at ITEXPO that it will soon debut a VoIP module for the popular sales management software, ACT!

The application software provider is working with C3IP Communications LLC, a hosted IP provider that did the development. The mash-up, dubbed the VoIP AddOn for the ACT! by Sage” seamlessly integrates ACT! with BroadSofts BroadWorks VoIP application platform, to enable  call management within ACT! for BroadWorks end-users. 

For example, users can leverage screen pops with CRM database records when a client calls in, and can look up a complete call history embedded into the ACT! record.  Click to call and voicemail storage are part of the package as well, along with voice-to-e-mail messaging.

ACT! has 2.8 million registered users and an additional 43,000 corporate account customers.
