LG-Ericsson USA has released a new IP communications management system for small businesses; the platform is available through resellers.
The SBG-1000 server, which can be wall-mounted or placed on a desk, accommodates up to 20 users. It features auto-attendant, for call handling and routing, as well as voice mail, call recording, and call forwarding and following. The SBG-1000 further works with wired and wireless LAN connections; four of the eight wired 10/100 ports can power devices connected via PoE, 802.11n 2×2 MIMO wireless access, DECT base station and a built-in USB file/print server.
The SBG-1000 requires no wiring. There’s a quick installation wizard that auto-finds and registers LG-Ericsson IP phones, DECT desktop phones and DECT terminals. LG-Ericsson said setting up company messaging and voice mail is just as easy. Businesses can oversee security and management using the built-in tools that provide remote and location administration. Standard SIP firewall, NAT/NAPT, VPN and rule-based packet filtering keep connections secure.
The system is fully compatible with the LG-Ericsson USA iPECS-LIK family of hybrid key phone platforms. LG-Ericsson didn’t provide pricing details.
