VBrick Systems and LifeSize have entered into a partnership that creates an enterprise video solution that combines streaming and recording with videoconferencing to help companies create and manage more video content.
The two companies are combining their technologies VBricks Enterprise IP Video Communications Platform and LifeSizes LifeSize Video Center to build an IP video solution that would enable companies to more easily create and distribute new video content both within the enterprise and over the Internet. The technology also would promote video self-service for departments that use video content regularly, such as human resources or marketing departments.
With the technology, users of LifeSize videoconference units can create and record rich media material, as well as conduct hybrid video conferencing and streaming sessions. Content can be easily created and managed via Microsoft Office Communicator or SharePoint, which integrates with VBrick technology.
Partnering with VBrick Systems moves LifeSize one step closer to our goal of interoperating with the key players in the broader enterprise video communications space,” said Matt Collier, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, LifeSize. Integrating VBricks enterprise IP video streaming solutions with the LifeSize Video Center will provide joint customers an easy way to record high-quality videos and centrally manage them with scalable broadcasting options for sharing innovative, business-critical content with their employees, partners and other parties.”
An exact date has not been set for the release of the combined technologies, but the companies said it will be available in the coming months.
