Managed networking and cloud services provider Masergy has unveiled a fully integrated unified-communications (UC) application to access voice, video, instant messaging, presence and Web collaboration.

Dubbed “Masergy Communicator,” the application delivers what the company says is a unified, consistent user experience across multiple platforms including Windows, Mac OS, iOS and Android.

“Companies face many challenges when deploying UC services including the need to manage multiple applications, service providers, contact lists and operating systems,” said Tim Naramore, Masergy’s Chief Technology Officer. “Masergy helps overcome these challenges by delivering truly unified communications from the cloud. Masergy UCaaS customers now have a single application for all their collaboration and communications needs regardless of if they are in the office, on the road, or working from home.”

Masergy says Communicator enables users to see the real-time availability of co-workers and seamlessly convert an instant message session to phone, video and conference calls with screen sharing anywhere, anytime.
