McAfee Inc., an intrusion-prevention and security-risk management company, on Monday announced that Dave Dickison will assume the role of senior vice president of North American channels.

In his new role, Dickison will focus on developing deeper relationships with networking solutions providers, ensuring partner enablement with tools and program offerings, creating a services-enabled channel, and focused spending to increase SMB market share through its solutions providers, the company said.

Dave has been instrumental in McAfees successful evolution to a channel-driven organization, and his previous work with partners makes him an excellent choice to lead the North American channel organization and to continue its growth and expansion, said Jim Lewandowski, executive vice president of the Americas at McAfee Inc. His commitment to delivering the best partner and customer experience along with his knowledge of the global partner program and the entire McAfee product portfolio will prove essential as he steps into this new role.

Dickison has worked for McAfee for nearly a decade. His most recent position was as vice president for system security in North America. Prior to that, he was vice president of sales for networking solutions.
