Meet Trade Show Manager Sarah Waschler
June 2, 2006
For those of you who know me, youve probably seen me in many roles. Ive been with Virgo Publishing for six years, and this is now my 12th Channel Partners Conference & Expo. I started out as the trade show assistant for the AgENT Conference & Expo, then moved on to exhibit hall operations coordinator. As trade show manager for Channel Partners, I coordinate the site selection for future shows, develop the marketing plan for the show (along with our stellar publishing staff!), and many details in between! If you have any input on where you would (or would not) like the show to go to, Id love to hear your ideas. Post a comment and let me know what you think!
I have had so many fond memories of Channel Partners over the years from bar hopping in South Beach with American Telesis to dancing to the OC 192s at Navy Pier to learning how to play Craps with WorldXChange agents. No matter how stressed I am before a show, I know that I will have an amazing time with everyone there! If you see me at the D.C. show and weve never met, please stop me and say hello! The best part of my job is seeing the smiling faces on site, and I would love to get to know more and more of you!
Favorite quote: (stolen from fellow Virgo blogger, Adam Wright) “I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.” – Douglas Adams
Favorite thing to do when not working at Virgo: Travel. If it were up to me, I would travel 6 months of the year. (Im still working on selling my husband, as well as my checkbook, on that idea). My latest vacation included four days in Mykonos, Greece. If I ever drop off the face of the Earth, come look for me in Mykonos Im probably drinking Sangria at Appaloosa.
One of my favorite things is: My family. My husband, Jeff, never ceases to make me laugh and smile. Our children definitely keep us on our toes. Saki, our 5 year old cat, thinks she is queen of the household (what cat doesnt?). Daphne, our 3-year-old pound puppy, is never out of our sight. Sarge, our 1-year-old Great Dane, is always a source of amusement. He may look intimidating, but he is the biggest goofball you could imagine.
Our Honeymoon!
