MERA Announces AudioCodes Interop

MERA Systems Inc. has announced it has completed interoperability validation between MERA VoIP transit softswitches and AudioCodes‘ (AUDC) MediaPack and Mediant series.

The first interoperability testing between AudioCodes VoIP gateways and MERA softswitches was conducted in 2005. Since that time, AudioCodes has been keeping interoperability with MERA Systems in new versions and software releases.

AudioCodes interoperability with MERA Systems softswitches was done for AudioCodes MediaPack series and AudioCodes Mediant series using the SIP control protocol. The testing was set out to ensure interoperability between MERA VoIP Softswitches and AudioCodes Media Gateways concerning registration, call handling, DTMF transmission, T.38 real time fax and other functions.
