Mitel Names CEO
Richard McBee most recently managed a group that had roughly $700 million in sales.

Mitel, a provider of unified communications software solutions, on Thursday named Richard McBee CEO.
His appointment will take effect Jan. 17. Ottawa, Canada-based Mitel said McBee is expected to be appointed to the companys board of directors as well.
McBee has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry and most recently served as president of the Communications & Enterprise Group of Danaher Corp., where he was responsible for roughly $700 million in annual sales generated from carrier, enterprise and SMB markets through direct sales and channel partners, according to a press release. McBee holds an M.B.A. from Chapman School of Business and Economics and graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science in 1986.

On Sept. 2, Mitel Chief Executive Don Smith announced that he would retire.
Shares of Mitel on Thursday declined 4.46 percent, or 24 cents, on the NASDAQ, closing at $5.14.
