Motorola Invests in Vocera

Motorola Inc., through its strategic venture capital division, has bought a stake in Vocera Communications, the company said Wednesday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Vocera Communications System lets workers communicate over a facility’s wireless network through a hands-free, wearable badge. The Cupertino, Calif.-based company serves hospitals, hotels, libraries and other retail businesses.
