MyFax Expands Local Fax Number Availability
January 28, 2010
MyFax announced it is offering local fax numbers in an additional 78 area codes throughout the United States, an increase of 46 percent in total area code coverage in just one year. MyFax now has coverage in virtually every area code within the United States.
Businesses in the newly available area codes can choose either a local fax number or a toll-free number from which they can send and receive faxes using MyFax at just $10 per month.
“The expansion of numbers in local area codes throughout the U.S. over the past year now enables businesses in those areas to emphasize their community ties,” said Steve Adams, vice president of marketing for Protus, the provider of MyFax. “It also allows businesses with local branches in those areas to project more of a local presence in those communities. We’re excited to offer this additional local service to businesses throughout the U.S. that are looking for an affordable and more convenient way to send and receive faxes.”
MyFax allows users to send and receive faxes using an e-mail account, removing the need for a dedicated phone line and fax machine. The service enables users to manage their fax communication and corresponding document management workflow more efficiently and at a lower cost than traditional fax servers or fax machines, regardless of physical location.
MyFax also offers a free service for users who need to send a fax only occasionally. MyFax Free allows users to transmit two faxes per day of up to 10 pages without setting up an account or providing a credit card number.
