Next Generation Communications Selects NexTones Intelliconnect System
October 8, 2007
Next Generation Communications (NGC) has selected NexTone Communications Intelliconnect System, which includes session border controller, multiprotocol session exchange and real-time session manager (RSM) capabilities.
We chose NexTone over other SBC providers for a number of reasons, said Khurram Awan, CTO for NGC, which provides wholesale voice connectivity and VoIP interconnection services to international carriers and PTTs through PoPs in Europe and the United States. First and foremost is the companys market breadth and leadership in VoIP peering, SIP and H.323 protocols and interoperability. We want to leverage NexTones sophisticated policy and routing technology and expertise for interconnecting carriers in order to offer our customers VoIP and hosted partition solutions that are second to none.
NGC is using NexTones IntelliConnect System to exchange VoIP traffic with major carriers, network operators and PTTs. It also is providing wholesale VoIP origination and termination services to its customers. NexTones products enable NGC to offer its customers hosted VoIP partitioning with full redundancy without the complexity and cost of managing their own equipment. The IntelliConnect Systems advanced VoIP interoperability features allow NGC to integrate its own prepaid and postpaid billing modules.
NexTone also gives NGC the ability to utilize advanced automation routing features, including least cost routing, alarm monitoring, and quality and business performance reporting. NexTone’s Dynamic Policy Management technology combined with the NexTone RSM will enhance NGCs VoIP interconnect quality, capacity and availability. NGC now can route traffic between multiple peering exchanges to create an expanded community of carrier customers.
Support for our future growth is another important reason why we selected NexTone, added NGCs Awan. We believe NexTones products will help position us ahead of our competition and help us gain valuable market share with mobile and fixed VoIP users.
